Website Maintenance Plans Optional
There are two approaches to maintenance. I can do it for you or you can do it for you. If I do it, it costs you money for my time. If you do it, it costs you time but saves you money, and you will need training.
- Maintenance Plans include: Full site backups; frequency/cost depend on how often your content changes. Database backup is included in the website backup. (Everyone gets 1 monthly backup at no charge.) Backups are stored, encrypted, both off-site and on-site. So there will be a minimum of 2 copies each, of up to 3 complete backups. More frequent updates and more stored updates can be done, at higher cost.
- Basic SSL certificate for secure data transmission and to offer trustworthiness to your site.
- All Core and "Add-on extensions" updates as soon as feasible. ("Core updates" are security and/or functional updates of the website software. Everyone gets security updates.) Includes template updates.
- One restoration a year for no extra charge. This is unlikely to be needed but a hacked or otherwise "down" site will need to be restored from a "clean" backup. In the unlikely chance that more than one is needed, billed at time.
- Monthly check of your website, up to one hour, checking for bad links, miss-spelled words, display errors.
- Monthly report of maintenance done.
Maintenance plans usually run $35.00/month, Cdn. Higher needs may result in higher costs, if, for instance, you need more frequent backups.
